Unified communications (UC) aims to reduce human latency in business processes by linking different technologies (CRM, IM, mobile, and others) together to provide new services. In this session, we will discuss Druid, designed from the ground up to be UC software platform that organizations can easily deploy and use for their communications. We will also discuss other services that Druid can provide on top, including creative collaborative applications (XMPP, CRM integration) and mobile applications (Blackberry, iPhone), and other potential ideas.

Things we will be demoing at the show

1) Druid SOAP API - Open Source Unified Communications API for rich UC Mobile-Web-Desktop applications

We will demo our Druid SOAP API that will allow third party asterisk & UC developers to easily create feature rich UC web applications that leverage on presence, IM, IP telephony, unified messaging. We will showcase Adobe Air widgets that can do cool things like incoming call pop-ups, integration with SugarCRM/Salesforce. More importantly, the Druid SOAP API will be an open standard, easy to program and deploy framework.
